Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Localize mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Localize, you agree to these Terms.

For iOS users, this agreement is between you and Localize only, and not with Apple Inc., except where Apple rights are expressly stated below.

2. Service Description

Localize provides currency conversion tools, including auto-setting local currency based on device location, saved currency lists, and optional premium features.

3. Informational Use Only

Exchange rates shown in Localize are for informational convenience. Actual rates may differ from rates provided by banks, card networks, merchants, or payment providers at settlement.

Localize does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

4. License Grant and Scope

Subject to these Terms, Localize grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by applicable App Store terms.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid features are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are subject to Apple's terms and your Apple account settings.

6. Maintenance and Support

Localize is solely responsible for maintenance and support of the Service. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Localize.

7. Warranty and Product Claims

To the extent required by law, Localize (not Apple) is responsible for addressing claims relating to the Service, including product liability and legal/regulatory compliance claims.

8. Intellectual Property Claims

If a third party claims the Service infringes intellectual property rights, Localize (not Apple) is solely responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.

9. Acceptable Use

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where law permits.
• Do not misuse the Service for fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
• Do not interfere with service security, availability, or reliability.

10. Third-Party Services

Localize may rely on third-party infrastructure and data providers. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or data inaccuracies outside our control.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Localize is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including losses resulting from reliance on displayed rate information.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, unless local consumer law requires otherwise.

14. Third-Party Beneficiary (Apple)

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for iOS distribution and may enforce these Terms against you where applicable.
